PowerBoost for Faster Heating

When extra heat is required, PowerBoost temporarily increases the output of the selected induction zone.

This is particularly useful for rapidly bringing a large saucepan of water to the boil, heating a frying pan or getting cooking underway quickly before reducing the heat to a lower setting.

Slider Touch Controls

The ZIFN844K features front-mounted touch slider controls integrated directly into the black-glass surface.

Rather than repeatedly tapping plus or minus controls, users can touch or slide along the control bar to select the desired heat setting. The absence of conventional knobs also creates a cleaner cooking surface that's easier to wipe down after use.

Hob²Hood® – Automatic Extractor Control

The Hob²Hood® function allows the ZIFN844K to communicate wirelessly with a compatible cooker hood.

When paired with a suitable Hob²Hood extractor, the system can automatically control aspects of the hood's operation according to cooking activity. Manual hood control remains available when required.

For customers creating a coordinated Zanussi induction hob and extractor installation, Hob²Hood can therefore make everyday cooking more convenient.

Automatic Heat Up

Automatic Heat Up allows a cooking zone to initially operate at a higher output before automatically dropping to the selected heat level.

This can be particularly useful when bringing food rapidly up to temperature before continuing to simmer or cook at a gentler heat. Zanussi lists automatic rapid heating among the ZIFN844K's standard functions.

Pause Function

The Pause function is useful when cooking needs to be interrupted temporarily.

Instead of manually changing several cooking zones, Pause reduces the active zones to a lower setting. The hob can then return to the previous settings when cooking resumes.

Timer & Minute Minder

An integrated Count Down Timer can be associated with a cooking zone, allowing you to determine how long that zone should operate.

There's also a Minute Minder, providing an independent timer for other cooking tasks.

OptiHeat Control – 3-Step Residual Heat Indicators

The ZIFN844K incorporates OptiHeat Control, providing a three-stage residual heat indication.

This provides clearer information about the heat remaining in the cooking zones after use, rather than relying on a simple single-level hot-surface indicator.

Child Lock & Control Lock

For additional kitchen safety, Zanussi provides a Child Safety Device as well as a control Lock.

The hob also incorporates automatic safety switch-off, pan detection and acoustic signals, adding further convenience and protection during everyday use.
